Op. Dr. Deniz Özgür SUCU Op. Dr. Deniz Özgür Sucu was born in 1983 in Patnos, Ağrı, Turkey. Due to his father's profession, he completed his primary education in various cities and districts including Cyprus, Bergama, Sarıkamış, and Eğirdir. He graduated from Isparta Science High School and began his medical education in 2001 at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (ÇAPA). In 2005, aiming to broaden his perspective on medical education, he studied for six months at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. During his medical studies, he developed a strong interest in surgery and participated as an observer in various surgical procedures across different specialties. Following his graduation, he began his residency in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital. Throughout his residency, he actively participated in numerous national and international trainings, seminars, and congresses. In April 2013, he completed his specialization and was appointed to Iğdır State Hospital for his compulsory government service. While working in Iğdır, he successfully passed the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) exams, officially certifying his specialty across Europe. During his specialization training, he also received advanced education in maxillofacial surgery (oral, jaw, and facial surgery) at St. George’s Hospital in London, under the mentorship of the renowned Dr. Mehmet Manisalı. Dr. Sucu currently continues his professional work at Private Lara Anatolia Hospital and Antalya Anatolia Hospital. Committed to scientific thinking since the day he decided to become a doctor, Op. Dr. Deniz Özgür Sucu has enriched his professional journey with academic contributions. He has authored numerous national and international publications and articles. He is married and the father of one daughter. He speaks English fluently and enjoys sculpture, poetry, swimming, diving, skiing, professional running, and fishing.
